Increase Your Capacity to Receive

To whom much is given much is expected. He who seeks to receive must first create the capacity to receive that which he seeks. Too often than naught the tendency like I observe, reclines towards asking first to be given rather than creating the capacity to receive. The unfortunate eventuality with the first is that we get what we want but may never have/keep it or make best use of it. Eventually the much you receive is only tantamount to the capacity you have created to receive. It all revolves around the principle of first thing first. It’s like the lady who dearly sought for job, but lost it as soon as she got it. The reason is obvious, not that she asked what was too much for her to handle but that she did not first create the capacity to receive what she wanted. You risk losing what you ask when you get it, if you don’t first create the capacity to receive it. If it turns out that you are not fit for the job you have undertaken give it up and find another, better still refine yourself or adjust the job until it comes within your capability while you work on your competence, or else you will get progressively less suitable. A pilot may not be able to change the direction of the wind but he can very well adjust the positions of his ruder to maximize the dynamics of the wind for his movement. It answers much in drawing closer to the idea that opportunity abounds plenty not only to receive but to increase efficiency, to make far reaching impact because you have first created the capacity to receive. But it begins with a paradigm shift, from seeking what you can get to asking what you can give.

It’s funny sometimes how people think of giving when it’s talked about. I have never seen one give what one does not have. The golden rule of giving tells us that it’s always coming back to you what you have given. So the question you should be asking is; what have I given myself that I can give back to others? If you are sincere with this question you will learn to give more time to the improvement of yourself not for what you want to get but what you want to give. You owe a responsibility not just to yourself but to your immediate surroundings and possibly a wider community to improve yourself, because whether you know it or not another’s improvement and eventual success is tied to you living up to your responsibility improvement wise.

The world wants to meet you. If a man write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mousetrap than his neighbor said Emerson, though he build his house in the woods, the world will make a beaten path to his door. Here is a summary of all that has been said.
  1.       There is plenty opportunity to increase your capacity
  2.        Ask what you can give first and let every other thing find its place
  3.        You can’t give what you don’t have
  4.        Give yourself such that you can’t hold back from giving out that which your have
  5.        The much you have is the much you have created capacity to receive
  6.        There is no lack of opportunity for service, only lack of ability to serve
  7.        Be a channel not a container. You put a limit to this capacity the moment you start thinking and functioning like a bucket rather than a hose.
Ask first what you can give, not what would be given you and you will open yourself to a wider horizon of opportunities.

Letter to an Old Friend

Welcome to seeds of success.I stumbled upon a quite interesting poetry, you might find it funny. But enjoy it and tell me what you think.

Oh! Poverty my good old friend
How are you today?
Hope you are hale and hearty?
Waxing and waning, kicking harder?

My warmest regards to your new friends
Treat them kindly, give them courage
Tolerate them; let them also understand your path
Hold them gently, touch them softly,
you know how it is

You have been too good to me not to say goodbye
I shall never forget you in a hurry
It's painful to say goodbye
But my prayers are never to see you again

I am sure we 'll seldom meet
Not even in heaven when you die
Greet your friends for me
But remain down there, I have risen above you

Succeed in Service by Humility

Did you know that humility can work in you, through you and for you towards success? Humility is not a trait of weakness. Only the strong can be gentle, it takes a great deal of self worth, character and understanding to be humble.

The first action line of humility is personal, it concerns itself with improving ones mental frame, and it equips one with the understanding of who one is. We know what we are to ourselves, it’s not the same with what people see of us. It’s necessary we see ourselves also in the light of how people see us. Humility helps us in this aspect. It not only helps us appreciate or show concern, it makes us see value in people. When you don’t value people, it’s hard to see any good whatsoever in their opinion or contribution even if they have the perfect solution.
A master piece is not produced only by the skillfulness of the craftsman alone, flexibility is required on the path of object of work. As much as we want to be flexible to change, we equally desire to be agents of the change we desire. That’s what humility does, it reeds you of rigidity.

we are yet to realize and utilize the potential of possibilities we are capable of. Humility is a key virtue in making one a ready agent of impact, change and empowerment. These can only be achieved by service.

To be humble you must not only conquer pride but self. If you can conquer and control self, you can possibly conquer anything. You are humble not because you don’t realized who you are, but the correct idea about is; you know who you are so you must be humble.

The Prime Problem of Success

Beware of the common attitude that follows satisfaction, progress and abundance. These indeed do great deal of good to the human person and his self esteem but don’t be ignorant of their opposite effects. Satisfaction is a wonderful feeling considering that unsatisfaction can cause cancer. Satisfaction to an extent can lead to mediocrity, likewise comfort and abundance; as they both have their negative effects. Right now you might be thinking I’m trying to bring something under a bad light. No am not. I’m only trying to make plain the truth that too much of anything doesn’t help personal development.

But for progress…I’m yet to figure out the adverse effect of it. I know that success as it progresses encounters problems it must have to solve. Every progress shares one common challenge. At the feet of this challenge many success metamorphose into mediocrity.

That challenge is improvement and all it connotes. One common problem with man is that he does not come to realization of what he is capable of (so he settles for less). The little I know, I owe to my ignorance – Sacha Guitry.

It’s natural to revel and savor breakthroughs and achievements, it’s however more common to be carried away by it. The distance between consistent progress and mediocrity is the sense of improvement. There is always opportunity for improvement. One question I ask and recommend is “Is this the best that can be made out of me”? if you answer faithfully you will discover streams of ideas, passion, aspiration and motivation that will flow through.

A key to consistent progress is, knowing that there is always opportunity for improvement and that you can be/do better. Though time runs it leaves behind opportunity for improvement. And while we haste to keep pace with time we run over opportunity that could make appreciable impact. So appreciate the thought that time is not against you rather you are against time. He is not in haste that knows what he is doing. If you know what you are doing, you won’t envy. I think those who envy others success are those who fail to do what they should yet hope on luck to see them through.

The level of effort and thinking that results to a success is not the same level of effort and thinking that would propel or facilitate continuous growth of that success.

20.9.11

Skill Without Strength Of Mind

You need skill to be competent and efficient; strength of mind is to anyone what a propeller is to a helicopter. Efficiency is key. Virtually everyone demands efficiency from everyone. As the world grows in population and innovation, the need for efficiency is emphasized in daily operation to solve the human problem.
There is opportunity in every day. There is opportunity where you are. You can create opportunity for achieving that which you desire. But it doesn’t end there. When the opportunity finally comes what do you do with it? What does it take to achieve what you want in the light of opportunity? Opportunity is not always a guaranty to achieve what you want.

One new skill might be the missing link between a person and his goal. Every personal virtue attracts opportunity for it to be demonstrated as every thought would attract the equivalent situation or opportunity for it to manifest whether they are good or bad. Skill is important but not all mighty. Skill can convince you to seize an opportunity, but it may not give you the stuff to go all the way. But by the way, why do people take the initiative to do what they do?

1. Because opportunity is available. Do you do what you do just because you have the chance to do it? Yes a lot of people do; without counting the cost and considering the process, they take opportunity head on without proper thought. And in the middle of the whole thing when the outcome is view or when they meet with any slight opposition it suddenly dawns on them. Learn to take opportunity not because they exist for the taking.

2. Because others are doing it. There should be a better reason for doing what you do. People who do this don’t do it because they don’t have idea of the goal they want to achieve, but because they lack the right plan to achieving what they want. It’s like knowing your destination without the slightest idea of how to get there. Usually the result is that you get to end up in the wrong bus, with the wrong people and at the wrong place. Talk about being moved by what you see than what you are sure of.

3. Because they cant see the end from where they are. A good way to avoid an embarrassing or calamitous outcome is by starting with the end in mind. It’s an issue of concern how people often take opportunity just for the motivations without considering the beneficial good it could bring. Motivation can get you started but doesn’t always keep you moving. It can inspire the will in you but doesn’t always give you the strength to walk the way. A common but powerful motivation here is money. There is a tendency to readily take opportunity to do anything once money meets the willingness at the other end.

4. Because they have not matured enough. Maturity is not growing old. Here maturity can refer to developing character enough in turning down a lot of good opportunities but never missing the best one. The more mature and successful one becomes the more he narrows his engagements and opportunity he chooses to accept though his options of choice be numerous. He no more takes opportunity only for the sake of meeting an end. On the other hand when one is yet maturing one is apt to virtually take every opportunity that comes one’s way.

The ability to perform a task creditably to a prescribed standard require skill. In the face of opposition and challenges where persistence becomes vital, one must have strength of mind to push against the odds of opposition.

7.9.11

3 Keys To Keep Up With A Goal

Everyday day is a seed, it comes with opportunity enough to solve problems, meet needs and improve self. A society is only as improved and developed as its inhabitants are informed and developed. It is like a system, where one person's improvement can influence that of the whole. In the strive to meet daily challenges, amidst much commitments, commitments are miss committed. Like in a football game, the objective of each team is to hit the goal as many times as possible to win (as long as they do this more than their opponent). But some games sadly end barren. And one would wonder a full match could not produce a goal. Your ability to see patterns and understand them determines passage, in the maze of affairs. Like in a football game, each team is strategically structured to stop the other from scoring while they themselves work to score. A team will definitely score when they see the pattern through the other team's opposition. Everything in life has a pattern. That's why success is not always of strength or skill, but working according to the natural laws about anything. There are three simple yet important keys that will help one keep track of one's goal, unfavorable situations not withstanding

1. Focus: when you find purpose, focus on it. This is according to the law of sequence. First things first, you can't focus on what you don't see; you can't take what you have not discovered. It's one thing to have a goal; it's another to have another goal. There will always be goals to achieve. As long as there is progress in any venture there would be new problems and innovative demands. For these to be met, goals sometimes need to be set amidst existing ones thereby increasing commitment and possibility of losing sight on the most important things. When it gets tough in football match, a team might lose focus on goals while trying to handle the surging offense of the other team. The sun will burn out flesh with the help of a convex lens, ordinarily it can't. You must not necessarily abandon every other commitment just to achieve one goal, that's not wise, is it? Focus in concise definition is giving each goal or commitment the justified required attention in its given time.

2. Consistency: with consistent heat, a stone will dissolve in boiling water. There is no progress in inconsistency. You will be a pioneer in what you initiated, but if you start a thing and show consistent improvement over time you will perfect in it. Consistency is not mediocrity. Mediocrity is maintaining the status quo (even when the status quo is below standard). Consistence is continual progress no matter how slow or gradual.

3. Persistence: consistency is not always possible without persistence. Consistent progress is not without obstacles and failures but it's in the ability to rise and still improve. With persistence, consistent heat will dissolve a stone in boiling water; that's a proverb anyway. One cardinal virtue and common factor in every worthy achievement is you guessed right, determination. As much as I know it is not always an inborn virtue, it's developed like many other virtues. The world will wait for a determined man.

He is not in haste

Time is not always against him
Usually he is against time
With consistent determination he focus on the goal
To achieve it
The world will wait for him
Because he rides on the back of three
Three cardinal virtues that nature respects.

30.8.11

Cause And Consequences; How to Achieve Optimal Results

When it happens like bang, what quickly become obvious are the consequences, and rarely the cause. And when the cause eventually comes to mind, we tend to excuse it with the urgent demands of the obvious (consequence). Common sense tells us that the best way to solve a problem is to treat its cause and its consequence. But do we always look in the direction of the cause when the consequence is quite obvious and calling? Reminds me of Derek Prince during World War II while he was serving as a medical orderly with the British forces in North Africa, and I quote,

A British soldier had come into our reception station with a shrapnel wound caused by a bomb exploding near him. He took off his shirt exposing a small puncture wound in his shoulder. The edge of the wound was slightly black. Thinking of the ready to use sterile dressing that was part of our medical equipment, I said to the medical officer, “shall I get a first field dressing, sir?”
“No, that’s not what’s needed,” the doctor replied. “Bring me a probe.” The doctor had the man sit on a chair. Then he struck the little silver stick into the man’s wound and wiggled it around gingerly for a few moments. Suddenly the man let out a yelp and goes up in the air. “Now fetch me the forceps,” the doctor said. I gave him the forceps which he inserted into the wound in the area where the probe had located a foreign body. Cautiously he extracted a little piece of black metal. After cleaning the wound, he finally said to me, “Now you can bring the dressing.”
Afterward he explained, “You see, the piece of shrapnel that caused the puncture was still there. If you just cover that shrapnel up with a dressing without removing it, it will be a continuous source of infection and will cause further complications.”

Now on the other aspect of cause and consequences, is the Pareto principle or the 80-20 rule. Vilfredo Pareto, a 19th century economist postulated that a large share of wealth is owned by a small percentage of the population. Put more simply, 80 percent of consequences are as a result of 20 percent of causes. Now, how can this apply to goals and personal achievement?

I often tend to push myself to an extent on the cause effect issues; though it’s a sort of character test. I strive to achieve 80 percent of results with 20 percent of required time. Very demanding, you would say; but very helpful as well, especially in restoring focus, concentration and determination in producing results for a given task.
If principles are said to be natural laws, then the Pareto principle will be an effective tool that could transform ones effectiveness and consequently ones life. Knowing that we need 20 percent of our engagements to yield 80 percent of the results needed, the question is, “out of the many things we do or can do, what is that 20 percent that will produce the 80 percent result that we need? In other words, what are the most important things in your life that would create the defining results? Can you draw a line between the 80 percent less effective things and the 20 percent effective ones?

You can separate the few major problems from the many possible problems so you can focus your improvement efforts, arrange them according to priority or importance, and determine which problems are most important using data, not perception.

4 Factors In Building A Foundation For Success

Taking a good look at the society today, you will find people with different levels of acquisition and success. However, the interesting thing is that each and every one of us shares one selfish, common goal: “to be successful”. But at the long run majority of those who share this goal don’t get to achieve the level of success they desire. This phenomenon has led to a lot of questions: Does success really have secrets? Why do majority who seek after success fail to achieve it at the level they desire?
As a matter of fact I met a colleague. His statements created further necessity to look into questions like the ones above. Is it true that most people are destined to be poor and other privileged few rich? These questions made me to look into the subject of success.
The objective of this article is to create the awareness that success can be initiated by our conscious effort to assume responsibility…as well as apply the natural laws of success; and to motivate us towards taking the necessary steps and the right approach that will put us in the path of success.

1. SELF DISCOVERY AND REALIZATION: We start existing the moment we are born, but we begin to live the very moment we discover our purpose of existence in first place.

What's the need for self discovery?
*Each individual has in him talent enough to live a comfortable life.
*Where purpose is not known the pursuit for significance takes over.
*Self discovery helps you define your fundamental objectives.
*Self discovery helps you ascertain either your progress or decline i.e. you must who you currently are, where you are and what level you operate; in order to define and design that you ought to be.
*It helps maintain focus (don’t put in front of you that you don’t want in you)
*Focusing on God’s words is necessary to fulfill God’s purpose.

LIVING ACCORDING TO PRINCIPLES AND NOT METHODS:
Principles are basically the underlying natural laws that control the success of a system. Method on the other hand is the manifestation of played out principles. We can view principles as the lightening and methods thunder. Some basic principles to consider include:
Principle of sowing and reaping
Preparation before undertaking, this was well illustrated by the 10 virgins biblical virgins.
Principle of timing: time is the most convertible currency you have already to trade for what you want. There is always someone to pay for the time you invested
Principle of promotion: Dream for it, picture it, produce for it, patiently wait for it.
Principle of sequence, this is clearly observed in the creation of the world. There is the principle of first thing first. Sense before wisdom proverb 17:16
Principle of obedience (1 king 2:1-4) 1chorin22:12
Principle of using and loosing Mt 25:14-28
Principle of giving and receiving 1king 17:2 etc

Why do we need to live by principles?
They are natural laws that cannot be broken, methods are bound to fail
When you live by principles, you align yourself to achieve the desired success.
It put you in the path of opportunity.
One secret of success in any aspect of life is to know first, the principle that governs the system in which you operate. The law of integrative complexity says that individual who can integrate and use the greatest amount of information in any field soon rises to the top of the field.

Never give up: This is a common factor in every great achievement. A man is not measured only by the amounts of victories won, but by the number of obstacles he overcomes to finally stand.
Highly successful people don’t exhibit the habit of giving in to adversity. Failure cannot cope with persistence.

Add skill to your ability: competence could be refered to as one applicable meaning of skill. The essential element of any skill Is the ability to implement sequences of choices to achieve objectives. Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings; He won’t serve obscure men(Pr22:29). Talent can go as much as getting you a thing, but skill helps you to keep it. People pay for skill not talent, skill basically is “how to do…”
Out of all skills there is one common skill, it is the mind skill.
The power which resides in you is new in nature and none but you know that which you can do. Until you search to discover it you might never know your purpose. Mind skill has to do with harnessing the minds potential.

11.4.10

Develop Your Decision Making Skills By Working On Your Ability To Learn From Experience

“The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.” -Tom Bodett

Success should not be seen only in the big picture as a big great bang. Rather it should be seen as a process that begins with internalizing certain principles which if applied would help work one's climb to the top.Being successful require one’s ability to deliver results as at when needed. Nobody wants failure, we all want to get results and be successful. However, achieving the right results begins with making the right decisions. Decision making is a very critical aspect of living a successful life.

In this article you will learn how to improve your decision making skills by enhancing your ability to utilize “experience and intelligence” towards achieving the right results. Experience, being the knowledge gained by repeated trials can only be of any benefit when intelligently applied to present situation. You will drastically reduce the likelihood of wrong decision making/repeated failure by applying these mind enlightening tips:

Learn to learn from experience: the question is not how much you have experienced but what actually you have learn t from it, which is what eventually pays. Experience is not always about years and decades, the seconds and minutes that trickle into hours are as important as the years you suppose will create experience. Value every second to learn from it. Apply the DON’T principle and you will be amazed at what you will achieve. There are two fundamental virtues that you gain when you discipline yourself to learn from experience

You gain the ability to discern time,

you also gain a good sense of judgment

Be patient: patience creates experience; you will never find the opportunity to learn and pick valuable lessons from an experience if you don’t take your time in seeing it through. The world today is that fast that people compromise time and excellence. My father always tells me “better do a thing perfectly, than cover multiple tasks without actually doing any of them well” The greatest minds have one common attribute they share which is “patience”. The finest footballers are those that are patient on the ball, and because they spend time on the ball they virtually don’t think of what to do when on the ball.

Be intelligent: Intelligence like success is not a rear gift bestowed on a selected few, when you decide to have it, seek it and you will find it. Things don’t just happen they are made to, virtues are not always born they are also learnt. Intelligence begins with the details; it comes with perception and action. Experience gives you what to expect while intelligence tells you what to do and perhaps how to execute it. Your perceptive ability to sort and utilize the slightest of information in a given data to achieve result is being intelligent. Intelligence is the ability to read situations, know intentions and create the stuff needed to act accordingly. The best results can also be achieved by obtaining the information for making the right decision. Information is the basis for important decision.

Utilize the power of repetition and consistency: repetition is the mother of retention. Train your mind to preplay events, that way you get prepare for them as well as familiarize with the situation so much so that you almost don’t think of what to do when you encounter it. I have found that the more time one spends trying to reach a decision, the more complex and difficult it seems to achieve. Prioritize the exercise of your mind; you can’t afford to leave the mind quiescent. Consistency is everything else; success is more of consistency than skill.
It is a fact that history has a way of repeating itself, and most times for the sad reasons. Certain unpleasant things will continually repeat on you until you gain their experience and master them. History will be kind to me for I intend to write it- Winston Churchill

Experience begins with the decision to learn and master a situation. Experience doesn’t come by doing something over and hoping that you will get to the point of absolute familiarity and mastery of it. Experience is more of taking the decision to master a thing than hoping for it to happen.

Being advance in age is not experience, your ability to master a thing is. Failures and mistakes are often repeated, not because one has not had enough encounters to learn from, but because one has failed to take that vital decision to master the situation.

 Keep the lesson fresh in mind. Out of mind they say is out of sight, it’s like mathematics it leaves you as soon as you leave it. Remember it’s the lessons learnt that you are keeping in mind and not the experience in its entirety. Bearing the whole experience in mind can reduce your momentum for success especially when you dwell on its failures. The more you think of success the more likely it is to achieve.

Overcoming Fear-Tips On How To Face, Handle And Overcome Fear

Have you ever been obsessed by fear, so much that your life activity come to a total freeze? Everyone has fears which is not uncommon, but the issue is
how to overcome the fear.
Challenges are encountered in daily life and with poor orientation these challenges can pose as threats to ones confidence as well as create unnecessary fear that end up captivating and restricting you from achieving the desired success.

Here you will learn tips and information that will help to handle and overcome fear as it comes. You will understand the causes of fear, how it plays, how to overcome your fear and be in control of your life.

False Evidence Appearing Real (F.E.A.R) is a quite familiar connotation of the word fear. You might want to ask, is fear really false? But whatever your concern, it is as real as it gets. Statistics shows that social fear ranks high amongst other fears that people exhibit. Fears of speaking in public, fear of rejection, that of failure, etc are quite a number of fears but there is one that leaves cowardly footprints and regretful ramification. It is the fear of criticism, a lot of people would rather be dormant, complacent and hidden, than face criticism. Some people would keep their opinions without knowing how helpful it could be, just for fear of being criticized.

I object to the statement that fear is as important as the feelings of love or joy. Fear is destructive; humans are born with instincts that keep them consciously aware of danger and not necessarily to create unnecessary fear.

I. Know the cause:
for every reaction there was an action that prompted it, to overcome your fear you must seek not just to control it but to understand it. Know the reason for your fear and the cause of it, don’t go about treating the symptoms without first knowing the cause (a problem known is half solved). The problem is without, but the fear is within.

• Fear is begotten of ignorance; you have every reason to fear if you are ignorant of you responsibility, capability or even the opportunity available to you.
• Not doing what you know you should, can result to being afraid of the consequences of failure, fear is of the mind and your conscience plays a big role.
• Fear can also result from threats; such fears are grim and can lead to serious obsession. But worry not; you shouldn’t be afraid of death that you never get to live.
• Unpreparedness is the major cause of fear in many aspects of life. Unpreparedness comes before inferiority complex and no doubt, in a competition if you see someone better prepared than you, inferiority complex sets in and thereafter the fear of failure.
II. Face it: you don’t stand a chance with what you can’t confront. If you want to overcome your fear you must be willing to face it fair and square knowing that if you don’t, it will have the upper hand and you will be controlled by fear. That’s not what you want, you want to be confident with sound mind, you want to be in control and not to be controlled (by unnecessary fear). In facing your fear you familiarize with it thereby gaining the needed confidence to overcome it. You will deal better with a problem that you are familiar with.

III. Words matter a lot: like I stated earlier, the cause is without but fear is within. In times of fear your words is to the mind what oil is, to an engine. You can’t afford to be negative, don’t feed your fear with negative words/thoughts that will fuel its flame. Think, speak and act confidently even if you don’t feel so. That way you will create belief in you. And remember confidence is key
IV. Justify your conscience: to overcome fear you must justify your conscience by justifying your responsibility. You know what you should do to affirm your confidence in that you have done what is require of you to achieve your objective. Not doing it will create in you the thought of failing in that responsibility which will in turn, result to the fear of its implication.

V. Focus: get your mind focused, not on your fear but on something of importance to you at that moment other than your fear. That is, if you have done what is required of you, regarding the causes as stated in #1.

Most of the fears that we generally exhibit are learned, they are by no means natural. We should be consciously aware and not afraid. Everybody has fears but it becomes an issue when you allow your fear to consume you. It becomes a problem when you are obsessed by it, in that you allowed it to occupy a greater percentage of your efficiency. Fear is bondage it restricts you from achieving. “It is fear that kills not inability.” Know your support, ability and the opportunity available to you. That will cast out fear and create confidence in you.

Self Improvement - The 5 Step Self Improvement Plan

Self Improvement has become increasingly popular in today's busy world for everything from career improvement and weight loss to public speaking. There are a number of simple steps that can be used to get you started on the right path to reach your own Self Improvement goal, such as:

1) Identify the Cause
A good starting point with personal development is to look at how you got to where you are right now. For example, if your area of Self Improvement relates to weight loss then look at what lifestyle factors contributed to your weight problem to start with. Write down everything you can think of that contributed to the problem and then analyze how you can modify each factor to get the result you desire.

2) Goal Setting
Clarity is very essential in achieving any self improvement goal. Ask yourself exactly what it is that you wish to achieve and the more refined and clear your goal the more chance you will have of successfully attaining it.

3) Create a Plan
Once you have decided on your goal then formulate a plan that details the steps you will take to reach your goal. Use the details you uncovered when identifying the cause of the problem and expand on these to incorporate as much detail as possible on how you can achieve your self improvement goal.Be commited to your plan, successful people plan on paper.

4) Focus and Commitment
Once you know your goal and have designed your plan you then need to focus on your goal and commit to the plan you have designed. Set aside a certain amount of time(it takes discipline to effectively manage your time) each day to work on your plan and do not allow general daily chores to distract you from what you need to do. Once you have become accustomed to working on your plan each day it will become a habit and therefore easier over time to stick too.

5) Look for Inspiration
It will be of great benefit to look for inspiration from others that have overcome the same self improvement challenge as your own. This can be in the form of books, seminars, courses or even a person from your local community that you may be able to contact to get some tips or advice.Learn to adopt the principle that successful people practiced.

Self improvement is about identifying areas of your life that you wish to change for the better and having an attitude of continual self-improvement. No matter which area of your life you intend to improve by following the steps outlined above and committing to the plan you can be assured of achieving your goals and in doing so gain more confidence to not only achieve other personal development goals but do it quicker and easier each time.

Please don't forget to post your comments on this blog, thank you.
